Step 1: Flip lower expansion tube eccentric lock lever open.
Step 2: Insert Allen wrench into butt plate socket and turn counter
clockwise to expand the stock two to three inches and expose tang bolt
threaded nutsert on upper expansion tube bottom.
Step 3: Remove forward trunnion machine screw.
Step 4: Put pressure with a finger on the tang bolt threaded nutsert so it doesnít turn and remove bolt.
Step 5: Remove cap on bottom of grip.
Step 6: Inside the grip are two Allen head bolts. Remove the front
bolt with the hex nut on it, which will be replaced by your gunís ďTĒ
nut when doing the final assembly. Just loosen the rear bolt that goes up into
the trunnion adapter, but don't remove it. This bolt threads up into the adapter at angle and if removed it can cross thread and break the bolt when trying to put it back in!!!!
Step 7: Slide trunnion adapter into the back of the gun and loosely install the tang bolt.
Step 8: Push trunnion adapter tight up against the back of the
receiver and install forward trunnion machine screw 1st and tighten, then do the final tightening of the tang bolt 2nd.
Step 9: With the rear Allen head bolt inside the grip having been
loosened earlier, push grip all the way forward so itís tight against
the back of the trigger guard, then tighten the bolt. Youíll note the
gripís core support has been slotted to allow for this. Again...just loosen the rear bolt that goes up into
the trunnion adapter, but don't remove it. This bolt threads up
into the adapter at angle and if removed it can cross thread and break
the bolt when trying to put it back in!!!!
Step 10: Reinstall forward grip bolt into gunís ďTĒ nut in the receiver and tighten, then reinstall grip cap.
Note: It is not necessary to separate the grip from the rear section of the
stock for installation! If you do screw the stockís expansion
mechanism all the way out and remove the front grip from the rear of the
stock, be careful to not lose the serrated pressure pad.
If it comes
out, open the eccentric lever all the way up and reposition it with the point of a
pencil, making sure the serrated face is flush with the inner wall of the lower expansion tube. The next step is to reinstall the grip's lower slide into the rear section of the stock.
